Landscapes

Landscapes are where geology becomes visible: mountains folded by continental collision, deserts sculpted by wind over millennia, forests holding centuries of growth in a single canopy. They are not backdrops but living systems - soil, climate, and time working together to shape terrain that in turn shapes everything that lives on it. Each ridge and valley floor records a history: glaciers retreating, rivers shifting course, fire and drought and regrowth. To photograph a landscape is to catch one frame of a process unfolding across thousands, sometimes millions, of years - motion so slow it reads as stillness. This gallery gives a tiny insight into the fascinating diversity of Earth's terrestrial landscapes. Each image is an attempt to hold still what is, by nature, always changing.
